Great job on Friday night at our annual Time Trial Meet. I saw so many encouraging things, that I cannot wait to write about it in my blog.
I could see all of the new swimmers get the hang of where to be and what to do at a Seton Swim Meet. It was great to see so many swimmers overcome their fear and finish events they have never tried before. You can always do more than you think you can do. We only had a few swimmers miss or skip events, which, of course, is not the way we roll in Seton Swimming.
I was particularly pleased with how you responded to our training on the National Anthem. We are going to look really good when we get our uniforms! Thank you Col Schroer and Mr. Borneman for your help demonstrating how to stand at attention. If you missed our training, or if you are a parent that was unable to attend the meet, here’s a blog that describes Why and How We Respect our National Colors. If you scroll to the bottom, you can see some links that explain the different between a Democracy and a Republic.

71 Seton Personal Records, already – in spite of the fact that most of the swims were first-time attempts. We are well on our way to beating last season’s PR total of 1,205!
For you young new swimmers, look at some of those PRs in the 200 Free. Those kids were you last season, and look how much they have improved!
It’s going to be a great season!
