Here is the Meet Announcement for our Seton Homecoming Invitational Meet at the Freedom Center on Saturday, December 18, 2021Please read it carefully because there are a number of things that are different from our recent practice.

All Seton Alumni are welcome to come “home” and swim with us.  We will insert alumni relays in both the 200 Medley and the 200 Free Relays, and we will run a heat or two of alumni 50 Free.  Please e-mail Coach Koehr at [email protected] if you plan to participate.

It is a privilege for Seton to be able to host this meet, but in order to maintain that privilege, all participating teams must be very diligent about wearing masks when outside of the water.  Fortunately, most of the other COVID policies have been relaxed, including social distancing requirements.  And even better, the locker rooms are open!

We will allow spectators inside the Freedom Center bleacher area on a trial basis.

  • Masks are required for all spectators per George Mason University policy.
    • If you object to wearing a mask, as many people do, then please just watch the meet on the livestream.
  • Please do not force me, as the Meet Host, to become a mask policeman.
    • We cannot allow a spectator to risk our ability to host meets

Seton Divers should be on deck ready to stretch at 10:19 a.m. for a one-hour practice that starts at 10:30 prior to the 11:30 a.m. Diving Meet warm-up.  Seton Swimmers should be stretching at 12:39 p.m.  Once we have all of the entries, I will post a Meet Timeline.  In the absence of that information, I would anticipate that the meet should be done around 6:00 p.m.

Try Diving on Saturday: Invite a Friend or Younger Sibling

How wonderful it has been to see two volunteers with no kids at Seton School, Ashley Keapproth and Seamus Koehr, get a diving team off the ground to provide opportunity for twelve (12) kids to compete in this great sport.  And they are looking to expand these opportunities in the future.

This Saturday Coach Keapproth and Coach Koehr are opening their 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. practice block to anyone who would like to try diving.  This includes anyone currently at Seton, as well as any younger siblings aged 8 and older.   We will be focusing on a few basics for beginners to see how they like the sport and begin to develop a pipeline for years to come.

Coach Keapproth encourages all our current divers to also come as she will be spending the hour on fundamentals — entries, line-ups, as well as font and back dives.

Please arrive by 10:10 to stretch and be ready to get in the water at 10:30.  It should be super fun for everyone!

Here are Seton’s Entries for the meet.   With so many people missing, it is possible that I have some mistakes.  Please make sure the entries for your family are correct:
