Thank you to our sponsor for the Seton Homecoming Invitational:

Lobster Maine-ia

lobstermaine-ia.com

For the Kenna Family, fresh Maine lobster is more than a hobby. It’s a passion that’s been handed down for generations, and that continues to excite each day.  Lobster Maine-ia is about much more than lobster though.  Enjoy a huge variety of super-fresh seafood!

Below is all the information you need for our Seton Homecoming Invitational Meet at the Freedom Center on Saturday, December 16, 2023.  Please read it carefully.

This meet is unique in that we allow some of our alumni to swim in the meet as exhibition (i.e., non-scoring).  We will seed alumni relays into the heats with the scoring relays, and we will run separate heats of the 50 Free for alumni.

Parents from all participating teams, please sign-up to help with Timing and Stroke & Judging here.  Each team has been assigned the responsibility for timing one or more lanes (see below).  And please sign-up to help with Hospitality here.  These links are also on the Home page of www.setonswimming.org.

The meet will be streamed live on the Seton Swimming Highlights YouTube channel at: https://setonswimming.org/videos/

Because of the number of Divers projected to be entered, we’ll have to use our normal Seton Group 1 Diving practice time for the meet.  Seton Divers should be on deck ready to stretch at 9:44 a.m.  with Diving warm-up starting at 10:00 a.m.

Seton Swimmers should be stretching at 12:39 p.m.

The attachments below contain everything you need to know about the Meet.  The Psych Sheet, Meet Program, and Meet Timeline will be posted once we have received all entries via SwimCloud.

Remember that my philosophy for entries during the month of December is to get kids in the maximum number of different events I can.  It is impossible to do for everyone, but I try to get as many kids as possible to swim all eight (8) individual events during the season.  For the new swimmers, you can pretty much count on 100 Free this week, 100 Back next week, and 100 Breaststroke or Butterfly the week after, which should line up nicely with the stroke progressions we are doing in practice.
