2026 National Catholic Medalists – Ariana Aldeguer (Bronze and 5th), Melissa Paradise (Gold), and Meghan Condon (Silver)
On Saturday and Sunday, January 17-18, 2026, we took 25 Seton athletes up to Loyola University of Maryland in Baltimore for the 2026 National Catholic High School Swimming and Diving Championships.
Our girls did exceptionally well, finishing in 8th place overall!
Melissa Paradise (JR) is an individual National Catholic High School Champion! She joins an exclusive list of five (5) all-time Seton greats who have previously won:

Congratulations to Ariana Aldeguer (JR) and Meghan Condon (SO) who broke each broke their own team records:
- 200 Free – Ariana beat her own January 2025 record of 1:55.48 at last year’s National Catholics with a new record time of 1:54.58
- Diving, 6-Dives – Meghan broke her own 6-dive record, set earlier this season at 191.00, with a new record score of 194.90.
We had several athletes perform well enough in Preliminaries to score in the Finals, including four (4) divers that finished in the top-16:

- Gold medal in 100 Backstroke
- Meghan Condon (SO) – National Catholic High School Championship Runner-up!
- Silver medal in Diving
- Ariana Aldeguer (FR) – two top-8 individual finishes
- Bronze medal in 500 Free
- 5th in 200 Free
- Lionel Martinez (FR) – two top-16 individual finishes
- 11th in 100 Fly
- 12th in 200 Free

Our Girls relays were particularly strong with Top-8 finishes in both relays that we entered. These results are very encouraging as I look ahead toward States:
