Earlier last week, I announced the Varsity team that will compete in the post-season for Seton where no more exhibition swimming is allowed.  Seventeen years ago, after having the season for nearly half the team end abruptly at this point, we hatched the idea of a fun, season-ending meet for all the members of Seton’s Junior Varsity team.

The Junior Varsity Invitational was the result of that plan.  Our little Seton School had just started hosting the State Championship meet at that point – how hard could this one be?  So, we set out on a journey to create an annual event at the beautiful new Fitch Warrenton Aquatic and Recreation Facility, which was brand new at the time.

The meet continues to attract swimmers from all over the State of Virginia.  This year we had 238 swimmers from 15 teams that traveled from as far away as Chesapeake, VA for a fun-filled meet.  This year, the Meet Opening by the Seton Sports Network included multiple videos on the new Freedom Center scoreboard, including a clip of John Wayne teaching a young man to swim in the movie “Hondo”.

One of the many aspects of the meet that pleased me was how I saw the students really start to take-over the Seton Sports Network broadcast.  Students Gabe Hambleton and Nora Blanchette did a great job!  Mr. Paul Fifield leads the effort to get things set up, and then these young students take it from there.  I love hearing the students give me instructions into my earpiece.

I must also give a huge shout-out to Mike Judge, Hank Konstanty, Charles Seltman, Richard Borneman, Chris Condon, Melissa Sokban, Hume Nguyen, Kimberly Dalrymple, Anne Judge, Julie Mantooth, and Katie Condon.  They were not the only parents that made a swim meet of this scale possible, of course, but at one point early in the Meet, I had to take a step back and admire the high levels of competency we have in all of our key leadership positions on the team right now.

The meet got off to a great start with a quartet of Seton Students sang the National Anthem.  Daniel Sokban, Kyleigh Fifield, Rachel Baughman, and several others sang while Jane Judge provided a beautiful accompaniment on the violin.  It was, of course, wonderful, and it set a tone of excellence for the rest of the afternoon.

Final Scores

The scoring for the top teams at the meet ended up very positive for Seton – even though we were missing three (3) of our top middle school athletes.  In the end our Boys won by a wide margin anyway.

Congratulations to Oakcrest for repeating as the Girl’s champion for the 3rd straight year and to Seton who took the Boy’s championship after last winning it in 2022.

Top Scorers for Seton

I was very excited for the future of Seton Swimming while I watched so many young swimmers swim so well.    The future of Seton Swimming sure does look bright!

Saturday’s meet was very fast, but our strong core of young swimmers was up to the challenge.

Here are our top young swimmers who took gold, silver or bronze medals on Saturday:

  • Patrick Kay (8) is the VISAA Junior Varsity Champion in 50 Back. His .37 second PR gave him the win handily.  Patrick also too 4th in 100 IM and 7th in 100 Free.
  • Daniel Sokban (FR) took three (3) silver medals in 100 IM, 50 Free and 100 Free. His 100 IM was a 15.68 second PR from last year’s meet, but his 100 Free was particularly impressive.  After a .66 second PR, Daniel broke 56 seconds to go a smoking fast 55.44.  That time was faster than his previous fast relay split using a rolling start.
  • Jack Herwick (8) took the bronze medal in 50 Fly with a 2.03 second PR 29.58. That’s a big improvement in that stroke.  Jack also took 5th in 100 IM and 6th in 100 Free.
  • Philomena Kay (FR) dropped 2.35 seconds in 100 IM and took the bronze medal. She dropped 2.30 seconds in 100 Free to take 4th place, and she also took 7th place in 50 Free..
  • Dominic Judge (FR) won the bronze medal in 50 Back with a 1.53 second PR that moved him up from the 6th Dominic swam two (2) PRs also, including a 1.23 second PR in 50 Fly and a 3.22 second PR in 100 IM to score in 5th and 8th place, respectively.

Here are the swimmers who scored in the top 12 on Saturday:

  • Maggie Schroer (8) swam three (3) PRs in 100 Free, 50 Fly, and 50 Back to score in 5th, 6th and 8th. All three of her swims were Personal Records by .33, 2.08, and .27 seconds, respectively.
  • Sophia Halisky (8) scored in the top-12 in all three (3) of her individual swims. In 50 Breast she scored in 5th, in 100 IM she scored in 6th, and in 50 Back she scored in 9th.  She had some massive PRs too.  In those 100 IM and 50 Breaststroke swims, she dropped 20.30 and 10.77 seconds, respectively.  She also had a 11.24 second PR in 50 Back leading off a medley relay.
  • Luke Partridge (FR) also scored in 5th, 6th and 9th in 50 Back, 50 Breast, and 100 Free, respectively.
  • Michael Zahorchak (FR) took 5th in 50 Breast after a .28 second PR and 7th in 50 Free after a .72 second PR. He also had a huge 2.04 second PR in 50 Fly.
  • Kenneth Nguyen (FR) pulled an inside straight with a 7th, 8th, and 9th place finish in 50 Fly, 50 Breaststroke, and 50 Free. In 50 Fly he cut 3.11 seconds, and in 50 Free he cut .20.  His 50 Free is not down to 28.55, a pretty good time for a freshman.
  • JJ Gavey (7) showed a glimpse of his future at Seton with an 8th place finish in 50 Back and a .09 second PR.
  • Paul Partridge (6) is going to be a good one for Seton in a couple years, and he showed it with a 10th place in 10 IM and an 11th place in 50 Fly.
  • Joey Lynch (8) did more than just a superior job leading off the Meet with a prayer, he also swam four (4) PRs and took one 10th place finish. In 50 Fly (his 10th place) Joey cut .28 seconds, in 50 Back leading off a relay he cut .65 seconds, in 50 Back from flat start he cut 3.31 seconds, and in 50 Breast he cut 1.59 seconds.
  • Avila Mantooth (8) scored in 10th for 50 Free and beat her PR by 50 Fly by .52 seconds.
  • Mariana Bingham (FR) took 11th in 50 Fly and 18th in 100 IM, but her best swim may have been her 50 Breaststroke where she best her previous PR by 6.19 seconds.
  • Annie Dusek (8) swam really well in 50 Breaststroke, scoring in 11th She also had a 2.64 second PR in 50 Fly.
  • Kyleigh Fifield (FR) took one 11th place and two (2) 16th places including 50 Free, 100 Free, and 50 Breast, respectively. Her 50 Breaststroke swim was a 1.26 second PR.
  • Katie Bauer (8) swam a huge 7.88 second PR in 50 Breaststroke to score in 12th She has had huge PRs in 50 Fly (by 7.82 seconds) and in 50 Back (by 4.46 seconds).  What a year young Katie has had.
  • Gabriella Russo (FR) dropped .01 seconds in 100 Free and scored in 12th She also had a major 2.82 second PR in 100 IM.
  • James Nguyen (6) dropped .49 seconds in 50 Fly and scored in 12th place for Seton Family Homeschool. He also dropped .68 seconds in 50 Free.

Gold Medal Relays

In a championship meet, with Relays scoring double points, it is very important to perform well in those events.  We had three (3) relays take gold medals:

  • Our Boys 200 Medley Relay of Patrick Kay (8), Luke Partridge (FR), Jack Herwick (8), and Daniel Sokban (FR) won the gold medal over Immanuel Christian and Fredericksburg Christian with four (4) superior splits, especially Patrick Kay’s 30.88 lead-off backstroke and Daniel Sokban’s 24.27 anchor leg.
  • Our Boys 100 Backstroke Relay of Patrick Kay (8), Jack Herwick (8), Dominic Judge (FR), and Luke Partridge (FR) took the gold medal with one swimmer right on his PR and three others splitting lifetime bests. The PR splits were Jack Herwick at 30.14 (previously 31.25), Dominic Judge at 30.92 (previously 34.04), and Luke Partridge at 30.28 (previously 32.34).  Those were some very big drops.
  • Our Boys 200 Breaststroke Relay of Michael Zahorchak (FR), Jonas Wilson (8), Ben Ellis (FR), and Kenneth Nguyen (FR) won the gold medal by a wide margin led by Jonas Wilson (8) .64 second PR split.

Young Divers Showed Great Improvement

It was the end of the season for many of our Divers on Saturday, so it was fun to watch our Divers show so much improvement.  I was particularly encouraged by the scoring from your younger female divers – 100% of our competing girls dove a Personal Record on Saturday:

  • Cecilia Kelly (8) added 32.60 points to her previous best score to jump up to the silver medal with a score of 146.25!
  • Meghan Condon (8) was only 1-point behind Cecilia with a score of 145.25, good enough for the bronze medal. That score was a 13.10-point PR for Meghan.
  • Claire Kay (6) improved her PR by a whopping 35-points to take 4th place at 135.95-points.
  • Lucy Herwick (7) more than doubled her PR to 117.30 which was good enough to jump her up to 5th in the scoring.
  • Jane Judge (8) add 1.35-points to PR to end her season with a 6th place finish.
  • Grace Catabui (6) added 8.6-points to her PR and took 7th place for Seton Family Homeschool.
  • Mary Catherine Hurley (JR) ended her diving season with a huge 32.90-point PR.
  • Anna Russo (JR) crushed her previous best 6-dive score by 19.10-points.
  • Elodie Brox (JR) dove a lifetime best 122.05 which was 33.35-points better than ever before.
  • Rachel Baughman (7) nearly doubled her previous best score.
  • Lauren Grinder (8) had a great Meet, beating her previous best by 20.65-points.
  • Penny Kramer (FR) completed the 100% run of girls’ PRs in Diving with her 44.95-point PR, the largest point improvement by anyone in the Meet.

The limited number of boys we had competing also dove very well:

  • Dan Jackson (FR) won the gold medal on the strength of his massive 68.38 second Personal Record.
  • Dominic Miller (SR) completed his diving career at Seton Family Homeschool with a final 2.45-point personal record.

Our current boys’ team is loaded with Juniors plus one senior.  We need to load up for the future.  Dan let’s start recruiting some of your freshman friends!  And if any of you younger swimmers want to try diving, just let me know!

I already had the above section written about the Divers before I saw Coach Ashley Keapproth’s update hit my mailbox – so this week, you are going to get a double dose of Diving.  From Coach Ashley Keapproth:

1)  Congratulations to the following divers who concluded their season yesterday:

For the Boys:

  • Dan Jackson (FR) demolished his prior PR, came in 1st place, and set the meet record of 148.28 points. Dan has all of the components of a great diver and showed off sky-high jumps, front double somersault, and full twister yesterday. He is always eager to learn a new dive! I expect that he will be scoring a lot of points for Seton in the years to come.
  • Dominic Miller (SR) had a great showing yesterday and ended the meet with his fully clothed front double to get all of the judges cheering! Dominic always wears a smile and makes practice more fun.
  • Max Ashton (6th) has learned so many new dives this season, including a front 1.5 somersault, full twister, back flip and inward dive.  He has worked hard to move up to group 2 next year to train with the Varsity team as a 7th grader!

For the Girls:

  • Cecelia Kelly (8th) came in 2nd place yesterday with a score of 146.25 scoring a whopping 13 points for Seton.  She also demolished her prior personal record by over 40 points and really showed off how much she has improved this year.  She is a beautiful and graceful diver to watch and mentally tough. She shows no fear when we are learning new dives.  I am so proud of all that she has learned and how far she has come this season!
  • Claire Kay (6th) came in 4th place scoring 135.95 points, beating her prior PR by over 30 points.  I could not be happier with how far Claire has come this season, and even learned a new dive yesterday (a front 1.5 somersault). In addition to her raw talent, perpetual smile, and positive attitude, Claire has won the hearts of the juniors on the team who all see her as a little sister.  Did you hear the chants of “BLC” yesterday?   I learned that it stands for “Be Like Claire,” which seems to be the new team motto.
  • Lucy Herwick (7th) came in 5th place  with a score of117.30 points and scored 10 points for Seton, demolishing her prior PR by over 60 points. Lucy always has a “can do” attitude and is eager to learn new dives!  Indeed, yesterday she did two new dives in the meet (that she had not even practiced) in order to round out a full 6-dive list and be eligible to score points for the team.  Never once did she question the ask, and just responded that she would try.  That is the attitude that will make a great diver, and what helped Lucy earn a spot in group 2 next year!
  • Rachel Baughman (8th) scored 69.05 points with 4 dives, nearly doubling her prior personal record.  She did a great front dive and front flip and even debuted the inward dive that she had learned in warmups.  It was great to see how far she has come this year!
  • Lauren Grinder (8th) scored 66.60 points with 4 dives, 20 points more than her prior PR.  She also showed off her new inward dive that she had learned the day before at practice.  With her new inward dive and her learning a front flip pike, Lauren is now eligible to move up to group 2. Congrats, Lauren!
  • Penny Kramer (FR) scored 60.55 points with 4 dives, doubling her prior PR! She also showed off her new inward dive that she had learned in warmups and did a great front flip!  It was great to see how far she has come this year!
  • Jane Judge (8th) scored 47.45 points with 3 dives, setting a new PR. She overcame some major fears on Friday night by performing her dives with a hurdle.  That gave her the confidence to learn an inward dive and a front flip pike after the meet, making her eligible to move  up to group 2. Congrats, Jane!
  • Grace Catabui (6th) scored 34.10 points with 2 dives, also setting a new PR. I was very excited to see how high she is now jumping in her front dive tuck. Great season, Grace!

We also had two new Junior girls who have worked incredibly hard this season.

  • Mary Catherine Hurley (JR) scored 127.50 points, beating her prior PR by over 30 points. Mary Catherine is a joy to coach and a joy to be around.  As a new diver this year, Mary Catherine  worked incredibly hard to learn so many new dives.  While she still has a few to learn, her progress has been amazing.  She has all of the components of a great diver – she is fast, strong, graceful, and coachable. I have no doubt that Mary Catherine will continue to shine and achieve her goals next season.
  • Elodie Brox (JR) scored 122.05 points, beating her prior PR by over 30 points.   Elodie is one tough cookie and has learned a full 11 dive list.  I didn’t even ask her to do several of them, she just figured out what she needed to do and did them (which is something Mick and Connor did their first year as well). She is mentally TOUGH and has the grit to persevere when things get hard.  Elodie is a rock star swimmer and is already qualified for States in several swimming events.

2) A VERY SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS to Meghan Condon (8th) who hit the qualifying score for States yesterday! She will join Maria, Rose, Connor, Mick, Jacob, Gus, and Max who have qualified for States.  Anna, Bitty, and Phillip will also continue to train and hopefully hit the qualifying score at one of our upcoming 11-dive meets!

Young Trinity Meadow View Swimmers Display the Future

On Saturday, we had four (4) Trinity Meadow View swimmers compete.  I was very pleased with what I saw:

  • Eamon Schrock (FR) showed that he could compete on a very high level with a silver medal and two (2) bronze medals. His silver medal came in 50 Fly after a huge 1.60 second Personal Record.  His bronze medals came in 100 Free after a 1.91 second PR and in a very fast heat of 50 Free.  To top off his great day, he led off the final 200 Free Relay at 25.09, a .39 second PR.
  • Reagan Mazanec (FR) had a great day. At 28.40, she scored in 5th place in 50 Free after a .34 second PR.  She had two (2) other top-12 finishes in including 11th in 50 Back and 12th in 50 Fly (.42 second PR too!).
  • Joseph Thiede (7) didn’t surprise me with his 7th place finish in 50 Breaststroke. He also had two (2) PRs in 50 Free and 100 Free, by .44 and .34 seconds, respectively.
  • Lizzie Neal (FR) had three (3) strong individual swims in 50 Breaststroke, 50 Backstroke and 50 Freestyle. Her 50 Breaststroke swim was strong enough to score in 7th

Next week is our last Meet before States for Tempest Swimming.  I’m really looking forward to including all of you in your first big championship meet.  I can’t wait to see what you can do, particularly some of our Tempest Relays!

123 New Personal Records – Over 1,000 for the Season!

With 123 Personal Records swum by Seton swimmers on Saturday, we have now passed 1,000 total PRs for the season – we just hit 1,094 Personal Records for the season!

In a meet where many swimmers were swimming events for the very first time at a high school meet (therefore no PR is possible), it was amazing to see that many Personal Records for the meet.

Here are the PRs that I haven’t already mentioned:

  • Sage Armstrong (FR) cut a big 2.86 seconds in 50 Back.
  • Betsy Arnold (8) rocked her 50 Free, breaking :30 for the first time after a 1.49 second PR.
  • Molly Bauer (JR) had a massive PR in 100 IM cutting 9.23 seconds from her previous best. She also cut nearly a full second (.98 seconds) from her 50 Fly PR.
  • Meg Blanchette (JR) swam two (2) PRs. In 100 Free she cut .37 seconds, and in 50 Free leading off a relay she cut .35 seconds.
  • Joel Bookwalter (7) had his best swim in the Breaststroke relay where his 50 Breaststroke split dropped from 40.09 to 34.18.
  • Caroline Brand (FR) swam her best race in 50 Fly where she improved by 3.23 seconds. She also improved in 50 Free by .19 seconds.
  • Malia Buser (SO) wrapped up her first year on the team in style with a 2.73 second PR in 100 Free and a 1.63 second PR in 50 Free.
  • JJ Cooley (SO) had one of the biggest PRs of the meet when he dropped 15.56 seconds in 50 Fly.
  • Charlie Dusek (SO) rocked his 50 Fly, swimming it 3.04 seconds faster than ever before.
  • Ben Ellis (FR) cut another .05 seconds in 100 Free.
  • Luke Fifield (7) was excellent in 50 Free, beating his previous best by 1.26 seconds.
  • Veronica Gonzalez (8) crushed her 50 Breast PR by 2.89 seconds.
  • Jack Gregory (SR) was the feel-good story of the whole meet for me. He swam an incredible four (4) Personal Records including 50 Back leading off a relay by 2.07 seconds, 50 Free by .26 seconds, 100 Free by 1.97 seconds, and the 50 Back event by 1.58 seconds.
  • Aoife Haggerty (FR) looked the best I’ve ever seen her during 50 Fly, and it showed in her time – a 5.98 second PR. She also cut 1.13 seconds in 50 Back.
  • Eamon Haggerty (7) dropped 1.35 seconds in his last 50 Free of the season.
  • Orla Haggerty (JR) swam three (3) PRs. In 100 IM she cut 1.73 seconds, in 50 Fly she cut 2.99 seconds, and in 100 Free she cut .37 seconds.
  • Clare Heiny (8) looked great in 50 Breaststroke during her 6.97 second PR swim. She also looked great during her .71 second PR in 50 Free.
  • Lucy Herwick (7) smashed her previous PR in 50 Fly by 8.24 seconds.
  • Elizabeth Hurley (8) dropped 3.76 seconds in 100 IM and .37 seconds in 50 Fly.
  • Mary Catherine Hurley (JR) cut 1.46 seconds in 50 Fly.
  • Clare Judge (7) had her best meet of the season. This is her first year of competitive swimming, and the level of improvement that I saw was remarkable.   In 50 Free, her only event with a previous time, she dropped .91 seconds, but I’m very confident that she also showed huge improvements in 50 Back and 50 Breaststroke.
  • Patrick Judge (FR) was the story very similar to his little sister – simply remarkable improvement this season in his first year of competitive swimming. In 50 Free he cut 3.35 seconds.  I didn’t have previous times in 50 Back and 50 Breaststroke, but I’m quite sure they were dramatically better than when I first saw him swim.
  • Daniel Kohlhaas (7) swam three (3) big PRs including by 9.62 seconds in 50 Breaststroke, by 1.25 seconds in 50 Back, and by .22 seconds in 50 Free.
  • Sofia Kohlhaas (8) swam very well in 50 Back where she dropped 2.54 seconds. She also dropped .76 seconds in 50 Free.
  • Cora Kramer (FR) had a great swim in her first attempt at 50 Breast. She also had PRs in 50 Back, by .58 seconds, and in 50 Free, by .11 seconds.
  • Penny Kramer (FR) did more than just improve in diving. She also improved three (3) times in swimming cutting .95 seconds in 50 Back, .43 seconds in 50 Free, and .41 seconds in 50 Back leading off a medley relay.
  • Evie Mayer (7) had a great last meet of the season. I was so pleased to see her drop 3.55 seconds in 50 Free and swim well in 50 Back and 50 Breast.
  • Annabelle Mikkelson (7) looked great in 50 Fly with her .95 second PR.
  • Mary Catherine Munsell (SO) rocked her 50 Breaststroke swim with a 2.44 second PR swim. She also rocked her 50 Backstroke leading off a relay with a huge 4.58 second PR.
  • Bella Nguyen (8) had four (4) Personal Records on Saturday. She dropped 2.32 seconds in 50 Fly, 1.40 seconds in 50 Back leading off a relay, .22 seconds in 100 Free, and a massive 6.71 seconds in 50 Breaststroke.
  • James Reynolds (7) dropped .20 seconds in 50 Free.
  • Evan Rodriguez (JR) looked so much better than I’ve ever seen during his lead-off 50 Backstroke in a medley relay, and it showed in his time – a 2.68 second PR.
  • Noemi Rodriguez (FR) is going to be a scorer for Seton in the future – I could see that clearly in her 3.81 second PR in 100 IM, her 5.66 second PR in 50 Breast, and her .47 second PR in 50 Fly.
  • Walter Saffian (JR) crushed his 50 Fly PR by 3.30 seconds.
  • Briana Shillingburg (JR) cut a massive 7.28 second PR in 50 Breaststroke.
  • Lily Waldron (8) never looked better in 50 Fly and 50 Back, cutting .19 seconds and .03 seconds in the events, respectively.
  • Evan Wible (7) had two (2) new PRs in 50 Back and 50 Free, by 2.54 seconds and 1.03 seconds, respectively.
  • Jonas Wilson (8) dropped 2.57 seconds in 50 Breast and .79 seconds in 50 Fly.
  • Katie Cooley (6) has the potential to be a really good one on our team one day, and it showed the most in her 50 Fly – 40.57, a PR by 2.85 seconds. She also cut .62 seconds in 50 Free leading off a relay.
  • Claire Kay (6) had a truly great inaugural season, and it pleased me greatly to see her end it with a 2.85 second PR in 50 Fly and a .62 second PR in 50 Free leading off a relay.
  • Maggie Mikkelson (6) showed a lot of improvement this year, ending with her .60 PR in 50 Fly.
  • Caroline Schroer (6) went 32.79 in 50 Free, a .78 second PR. That’s pretty fast for a 6th grader, so I can’t see where she ends up!

Other Strong Swimming

With so many swims where PRs were not possible, let me highlight some of the other great swims that I saw.  I wish I had some previous times for these swimmers, because I know that almost all of them would have shown big improvement:

  • Angela Andreu (8) wrapped up her season with three great swims. I was particularly pleased to see her complete her first legal competitive breaststroke.  Great job!
  • Jenny Baughman (7) looked great great in her first race in 50 Breaststroke.
  • Veronica Bingham (7) has a bright future in Seton Swimming. I liked that 37.69 in 50 Free.
  • Rosie DeWolf (7) had great first-time swims in 50 Back and 50 Breaststroke.
  • Gigi Gibaldi (FR) had a strong swim in her first attempt at 50 Breaststroke. She broke 1:00 in the process.
  • Monica Irving (8) had her best swim during her first-ever attempt at 100 IM. She broke 1:30.
  • Colette Kramer (SO) got her first opportunity to race in 50 Breaststroke and did very well.
  • Julia Maranian (8) competed successfully in her first attempt at 50 Breaststroke.
  • Brian Orellana (8) looked like a different swimmer than I saw at the beginning of the season. Not many, if anyone, has improved like Brian.  I was particularly pleased with his 50 Backstroke.
  • Grace Catabui (6) was great to have on the Seton Family Homeschool team this year. I was so pleased that she was able to both dive and swim.
  • Audrey Mayer (6) has come a long way this season, and it has been fun to watch her growth. I particularly enjoyed watching her compete in 50 Breaststroke for the first time.
  • Joseph Minarik (SR) had his “last splash” for more than just himself – he also was the last splash for the Minarik family who has been at Seton almost as long as I have. Joseph certainly lived up to the tradition started by his brothers Anthony and Andrew.

The Remainder of the Championship Season

The National Catholic High School Championship was the first of four (4) championship meets for us this season.  The remaining three (3) meets are over the next three (3) weekends, including:

  • The VISAA Division II Invitational Championship – Saturday, February 3rd at the Freedom Center.
  • The VCAC Conference Championship – Saturday, February 10th at the Freedom Center (NOT the Fitch WARF)
  • The VISAA State Swimming and Diving Championship – Friday and Saturday, February 16-17th at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center (Virginia Tech) in Christiansburg, VA.

Entries and information will be posted for the VISAA Division II Invitational after the entry deadline on Tuesday night.  All Varsity swimmers should be on deck ready to stretch by 12:39 p.m. at Freedom.

It is championship season, so we are trying to win all these meets.  That means team considerations will trump individual considerations.  For some of you who are the bubble for making the State Team or getting on a “A” Relay at States, I’m doing what I can, consistent with the team’s needs, to make sure you have at least one (1) more chance to earn your spot.

We are really pushing hard in practice during the month of January – do everything you can not to miss practice so we can all be ready for the last three (3) championship meets starting with our VISAA Division II Invitational this Saturday.

I promise you that Trinity Christian is working hard.

Save the Date for the Seton Swimming Awards Banquet: Sunday, March 3, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Renaissance Montessori School

See you at practice!
