Here is the Meet Announcement for our 15th annual Junior Varsity Invitational Championship at the Fitch Warrenton Aquatic and Recreation Facility (WARF) on Saturday, January 29, 2022.  Seton swimmers, please be on deck ready to stretch at 12:39 p.m.

Here is the latest Meet Information including the Meet Program, Warm-up Lane Assignments, a Meet Timeline, and the Psych Sheet.  I’ve made some updates to warm-up lane assignments since Norfolk Academy has said they are no longer coming:

This year we have the most kids we’ve ever had.  The Meet Timeline shows that it will end at 4:54 p.m., not counting the final awards

This is the capstone meet of the season for all non-Varsity swimmers (i.e., Swimmers not entered in a Championship Meet for which there are no exhibition entries allowed).

Here are our entries.  In keeping with the spirit of the meet, all non-Varsity swimmers who are over 9th grade will be seeded into a separate exhibition heat to allow the 6th – 9th graders to race among themselves.

Also note that we have added some Time Trial events #101, 102, and 103 for the 200 Free Relay and the 200 Medley Relay to get some kids qualified for States who have recently earned their way onto our “B” Relays.  Thank you to Joe Wilson, Nathan Luevano, Mary Pennefather, Lucy Garvey, and Angie Testani for helping out your teammates!

We will need all of our normal volunteers since we are the meet host.  I’d really appreciate it if you could please plan on coming to help out, even if your child is not swimming.  Hopefully the other participating schools bring parents to help as we’ve requested.

We will run the meet with only two (2) timers per lane.  To back up the CTS, both timers will have a CTS backup button.  Each lane will also have one Dolphin electronic stopwatch as a tertiary backup.  Each team will be assigned the responsibility for supplying timers and substitute timers for at least one lane for the entire meet.

  • Here are the lane timing assignments. If your school is not listed and can help, please do:
    • Lane 1 – Fresta Valley Christian
    • Lane 2 – Seton
    • Lane 3 – St. Catherine’s/St. Christopher’s
    • Lane 4 – Seton
    • Lane 5 – Oakcrest
    • Lane 6 – Seton
    • Lane 7 – Oakcrest
    • Lane 8 – Immanuel Christian

Seton parents, please sign-up for Timing here and for Hospitality here.
