Great job on Friday night at our annual Time Trial Meet. I saw so many encouraging things, that I cannot wait to write about it in my blog.
I could see all of the new swimmers get the hang of where to be and what to do at a Seton Swim Meet.
I was particularly pleased with how you responded to our training on the National Anthem. We are going to look really good when we get our uniforms! Thank you Col Schroer and Maj Partridge for your help. If you missed our training, or if you are a parent that was unable to attend the meet, here’s a blog that describes Why and How We Respect our National Colors.
I was also so pleased to welcome the newest VISAA Swimming Team, Tempest Swimming from the Trinity School at Meadow View. If you look at the results, I’ll think you will see a great example of our value of Meekness – our Seton swimmers certainly performed in a way that may our competitors better – and vica-versa! If you are new to the team or if you are from Trinity Meadow View and don’t quite know what what Meekness is all about, check out an old banquet talk on the subject here.

86 Seton Personal Records, already – in spite of the fact that most of the swims were first-time attempts. We are well on our way to achieving our team goal of 1,000 PRs!
For Trinity Meadow View, the PRs shown are against times in the USA Swimming time database, which I used just to make sure I could like up good races for the Time Trials meet. I’ve deleted those times that we have a good set of baseline high school times. One remarkable thing you might notice though – Trinity Meadow View swimmers beat their best USA times 24 times!
The other thing that you will notice is that Trinity Meadow View now has their first set of Team Records. Check out Team Records under the About menu or click here.
It’s going to be a great season!
