On Friday night, December 15, 2023, the top-5 male divers from Seton faced-off against the top-5 male divers from Fork Union Military Academy in an 11-Dive competition to help prepare this group of ten (10) divers to make a run at all top-8 spots at the VISAA State Championship in Christiansburg, VA next February.
It was the most fun most of us have ever had at a diving meet. Seton Coach Ashley Keapproth, FUMA Coach Samson Miller, and former Seton Coach Maureen Duran were the judges.
The results were stellar with Seton diver Connor Koehr (SO) breaking both of our team’s diving records:
- 1-meter Diving, 6-Dives – 231.1 breaking his own record of 230.45 set just last week
- 1-meter Diving, 11-Dives – 385.6, breaking Joe Duran’s record of 251.15 set at the 2013 VISAA State Championship Meet.
Both of these scores are currently the highest scores posted in the VISAA so far this season.
