On Saturday, February 7, 2026, we held our 5th Annual VCAC Conference Swimming and Diving Championship.

Congratulations to the following teams who brought home the Conference Championship Meet Trophies:

  • Boys – Seton School
  • Girls – Seton School

Since our founding for the ’94-’95 season, Seton has now won either a Conference regular season or conference meet championship 31 out of 32 times for the girls and 29 out of 32 times for the boys.

Our Swimmers of the Meet, by a vote of the coaches, were:

  • Elizabeth Bryan (SR), Oakcrest
    • Two (2) Gold medals in 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke
    • Bronze medal in 400 Free Relay
    • 4th place in 200 Medley Relay
  • Tyler Phillips (SR), Trinity Christian School
    • Two (2) Gold medals in 50 Free and 100 Butterfly
    • Bronze medal in 400 Free Relay
    • 4th place in 200 Medley Relay
    • Two (2) new Meet Records
      • 50 Free, 20.95
      • 100 Fly, 48.61

Our Divers of the Meet, by a vote of the coaches, were:

  • Charlotte Hill (8), Trinity Christian School
    • Gold medal, 352.40 points
    • New Meet Record
  • Eli Edwards (SO), Trinity Christian School
    • Gold medal, 408.15 points

Our VCAC Conference Coaches of the Year, by a vote of the other coaches, were:

  • Ken Burgess, Immanuel Christian Schools, Boys’ Team
  • Alyssa Knauf, Trinity Christian School, Girls’ Team

We had some very outstanding performances by Seton Swimmers, including:

    • Four (4) Gold medals in 100 Free, 100 Backstroke, 200 Medley Relay, and 200 Free Relay.
    • Two (2) new Meet Records
      • 100 Back, 56.06
      • 200 Free Relay, 1:40.29, with Ariana Aldeguer (JR), Maggie Schroer (SO), and Therese Paradise (8)
    • New Team Record in 50 Back, 26.06
  • Ariana Aldeguer (JR)
    • Four (4) Gold medals in 200 Free, 500 Free, 200 Medley Relay, and 200 Free Relay.
    • Two (2) new Meet Records
      • 500 Free, 5:04.49
      • 200 Free Relay, 1:40.29, with Melissa Paradise (JR), Maggie Schroer (SO), and Therese Paradise (8)
    • Lionel Martinez (JR)
      • Three (3) Gold medals in 500 Free, 200 Medley Relay, and 400 Free Relay.
      • One (1) Silver medal in 200 IM

It was a very fast meet as you can see from the eight (8) new Meet Records set on Saturday.  Here are the two (2) other records not mentioned above:

One final note on our performance:

  • For the 2nd week in a row, 100% of Seton Swimmers swam at least one Personal Record
  • With the 65 new Personal Records swum by Seton swimmers on Saturday, we just hit 1,097 Personal Records for the season!
